Here is a 7-Step Morning Routine to commit to that can help you accomplish your goals.
- Get Up a Few Hours Earlier Every Day
Time is your most valuable commodity in life, not love, money or anything else. If you can manage to wake up an hour or two earlier than you normally do then you can use that time to accomplish a bigger goal in increments, such as write a novel, redecorate a room or take a jog through the park to lose some weight. In fact, highly successful people take charge of their lives by waking up as early as 4:00 am in the morning. You don’t have to shock your system by waking up that early in the morning right way. Instead try waking up 15 minutes earlier than your usual time for a week, then add another 15 minutes to that and see what happens.
- Meditate First Thing In The Morning
Our subconscious mind fills our brains with all kinds of images that may not necessarily be helpful in getting our goals accomplished. Take twenty minutes to breathe deeply and empty their minds of all thoughts. This is like clearing your inner mental chalkboard, so you can receive inspiration about what to do about this. Once you feel, relaxed, calm and clear, then look at your To-Do list (the one that you have hopefully made the night before) and plan and strategize so that your day can have the best possible outcome.
- Burn Some Calories First Thing in The Morning
To optimize your wellness you should try to do some sort of exercise for at least twenty minutes every morning. Do yoga, go to the gym for a swim or some circuit training, or take an easy stroll in the park. The idea is to get your body moving, so your blood starts moving so that you wake up. Exercise helps clear your head so you can focus on your goals, be healthier and it also helps you to combat stress as well by helping your brain produce endorphins.
- Eat a Good Breakfast

Sit down with a newspaper to read while you are sipping on your morning cup of tea or coffee or listen to a credible news source on the radio or the television.
- Always Look Your Best
Looking your best is part of practicing an attitude of gratitude so make sure that you always dress your best, even if you are not really planning to go out that day. Skip the stretch pants and baggy t-shirt and try to look your best. Being well groomed is a way to be ready for any opportunity that might present itself. This means having washed and brushed hair, wearing make-up and wearing clean clothes. Make sure you always brush your teeth and use mouthwash or deodorant, because you never know when you will need to make a good first impression.
- Show Up and Be A Player No Matter What
Bad things happen to good people all the time in life. However, in order for you to stay your course and get things accomplished, you need to know how to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and recover after you have had a hard fall. The same is true of emotional or personal situations that you may find upsetting. Find a way to reign in your feelings of failure, frustration or sorrow and show up to work despite everything. Remember that part of consistency is the ability to drag yourself out of bed, even when you are at your lowest and the fake it ‘til you make it.
