Mayonnaise Is A Source of Toxic Emulsifiers

If your numbers on the scale are spiralling upwards out of control, it might be the fault of the hormone disruptors hiding in the chemicals in your foods. These chemicals are usually used to preserve or improve how food tastes but consuming them confuses your endocrine system, which produces too much estrogen in response. The result is that the food is not recognized as energy and sent into your tissues as fat. These toxic substances can also throw your gut biome out of whack, which causes foggy thinking, constant cravings and flabbiness.

Chemicals In Food To Avoid

Triflumizole. This is fungicide used on fresh produce that is very toxic and is known to cause obesity and cancer. The solution is to buy fresh organic fruits and vegetables and stay away from pre-packaged salad boxes.

Eliminate Artificial Sweeteners. The equivalent of poison, these sweeteners cause bloating, weight gain and metabolic disorders. Sweeteners to stay away from including Aspartame, Sucralose, Saccharine, Neotame an Acesulfame Potassium.  Use honey or stevia as a sweetener instead.

Bisphenol-A BPA. This hormone-disrupting substance sabotages the functioning of your pancreas an causes the type of insulin resistance that leads to obesity. To avoid this buy plastic bottles that are marked BPA Free.

Emulsifiers. If a food contains an emulsifier, then stay away from it as they interfere with the healthy balance of your gut bacteria, which in turn, causes weight gain. Emulsifiers are found in mayonnaise and salad dressings and may be in the guise of polysorbate on the product label.

Watch Out For Produce Treated With Pesticide and Insecticide. The only way to do this is to buy organic and locally. However, no matter what you do, some fruits and vegetables are routinely treated with poisonous substances that can cause weight gain and cancer. The non-organic foods most likely to be contaminated are avocados, corn, cabbage, pineapple, onions, sweet peas, mangoes, asparagus, kiwi, eggplant, grapefruit, cauliflower and melons.

Stay Away From Meat. If you eat dairy, eggs and meat, eat the product that is from free-range, grass-fed animals. Most commerical eggs and dairy is tainted with antibiotics and hormones meant to make the animal grow larger, produce more milk or lay more eggs. These hormones and antibiotics have a range of effects on the human body including bloating, inflammation and obesity.

Keep in mind that chemicals in food have an even more adverse affect on the body chemistry of women entering menopause, who are already experiencing a great deal of hormonal disruption, thanks to natural changes in body chemistry. The result is that menopause symptoms such as irritability, weight gain and thyroid dysfuncton can be much worse than they have to be given that the choice can be made at each meal to eat a natural, raw diet without chemicals.
