Apple Cider Vinegar can help fight thrush.

If you or is someone close to you dealing with a candida infection that is raging out of control? Commonly, known as thrush, this type of condition is very common simply because it has so many environmental and dietary triggers. Common cases of thrush include a diminished immune system, a leaky gut, the overuse of antibiotics and birth control.   It is also caused by eating too much sugar and being under stress for prolonged periods of time.

Here are some ways that you can fight candida, the type of candida that causes thrush, naturally, without having to take prescription drugs

Stop Feeding the Yeast With Sugar

One of the most effective ways to prevent candida yeast from growing is to stop feeding it with foods that have added sugar. It is fine to eat natural foods that have some sugar such as fruit and vegetables but in order for this situation to resolve itself you need to stay away from refined sugar. This means drinking your tea and coffee without sugar and forgoing all alcoholic drinks. You also need to avoid breads, all desserts, yogurt with added sugar, chocolate milk, Chinese food, barbecue sauces, colas, energy drinks, most condiments and anything else that might contain sugar. As a rule of thumb, avoid any ingredient on a food label that ends in “ose.” That includes sucrose, fructose and glucose.

Another reason you should stop feeding your thrush problem with sugar is because eating sugar causes your blood sugar and insulin to spike. This in itself can cause high blood sugar.

Use Natural Anti-Fungal Supplements

The reason that you want to fight candida yeast with natural remedies as opposed to prescription medicines is to avoid some serious side effects, the worst of which is the lowering of your immune system. This can enable a vicious cycle where your body is dependent on the prescription anti-fungal drugs because they not only do they kill off the bad bacteria in your body, they also kill off the good bacteria.

Natural anti-fungal agents that can be used in supplement form include caprylic acid, berberine, oregano oil and grapefruit oil. It is best to be assessed by a naturopath before taking these supplements as he or she will be able to tell you how much and when to take them

Eat Foods That Fight Candida Yeast Growt

There are foods that qualify as being natural anti-fungal agents and you should include them in your diet. These foods include:

*Raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar, which helps kill bad bacteria and create a friendly environment for good bacteria

*Coconut oil, which is a natural anti-fungal because it contains large amounts of carpylic acid

*Olive oil because it contains a plant chemical named Oleuropein, which helps stimulate your immune system

You should also eat vegetables that are high in natural probiotics that fight bad yeast in your gut. This includes:

Keep in mind that these food are best eaten chopped and raw. Taking garlic in supplement form, for instance, will not be effective because it is the volatile oils of raw chopped garlic that help fight thrush infections
