The eyes are a window to your health!!
The eyes are a significant portal to the brain, for the human brain receives more than 90% of its information from visual analysis. The bright colorful saturation of the iris, the dynamic reactions of the pupil and the bottomless depth of the crystalline lens signify a healthy youthful constitution, whereas dim eyes with little life are the destiny of disease and old age. The essences of such phenomena are of great interest to the iridological investigator.
The science of observing the iris has a long history. Some of the earliest cases go back to ancient Egypt. One can see in the national museums in Cairo and Alexandria many papyruses, several thousand years old, in which priests examine the eyes of Pharaoh. According to Petar Dimkov and Eugeni Velkhover, not only were the priests able to diagnose existing diseases, but they were also able to predict a person’s future health by observing changes in the iris.
In Europe, five centuries ago, the great Raphael created The Portrait of Baltasar Castilgnoni. In this portrait, visitors can see intricately painted eyes with pronounced edemas under them and a skin color peculiar to patients with a particular medical condition. What is amazing are the painted iris signs called “stacks,” which show an inborn pathology of the kidney. Of course, this is less of a surprise when one considers that many painters of the period had well-honed skills in anatomy and medicine that went well beyond that of the average artist.
Many documents can be found that confirm our predecessors’ interest and knowledge of the iris—the window of the body. Nevertheless, with the absence of magnifying optical devices and the impossibility of fixing the image, the basis of quantitative analysis confined the abilities of iridological researchers for quite some time, but now, especially during the past fifteen to twenty
years, our knowledge has increased of these complex exteroceptive areas of reflected information associated with the cerebral cortex.
Today, we understand “iridodiagnostics” as the method of preliminary evaluation of the state of an organism, its genetic and inborn peculiarities, psycho-emotional status, rates of aging and risk of developing certain medical conditions. This method makes it possible to carry out screening and diagnosis of large groups of people. By examining the structure of the iris, specific features of its pigments, motor reactions of the pupil and associated structures, as well as dynamics stipulated by age and genealogical lines, we can find new and sometimes unexpected results.
So, as part of a total assessment including blood chemistry and other innovative tools and devices to provide a measure of how the body is doing!
